About the Book

When their father receives a phone call from the President of the United States, Aili and Julia Turner's comfortable life in Palo Alto, California suddenly changes forever. As the daughters of the new United States Ambassador to Morocco, they are swept up into a strange and exotic world of Islam, kasbahs and ancient Medinas. The girls' new friend Abla seems like a nice girl, but her stepfather Aziz, a prominent businessman, is a little scary. When Aili accidentally discovers that he is exporting endangered animal skins, will anyone believe her? Will the girls be able to stop him?

The Passport Series of books for middle readers focuses on learning about world religions and cultures through the exciting adventures of 13 and 11 years olds Aili and Julia Turner. In Moroccan Mystery, learn about Islam, Moroccan culture and the trade in endangered animal products.
