About the Book

Maggie Brinkmann falls into working at Party Time, a studio that specializes in making children's dreams come true. As craft princess, it's her job to market the company, schedule parties, and watch over thirty children at a time-all while in a corseted ball gown and tiara.

Painting children's faces up to look like whores and telling lies about the queen only hold her attention for so long, and so she begins a relationship with the pirate, whom she often hosts co-ed parties with. As the relationship sizzles and fizzles, Maggie gets to know her bosses on a more intimate level than she'd like.

Soon, poor planning and a lack of things to celebrate causes profits at Party Time to drop, and the company must get creative in it's marketing. As she struggles to help keep the studio in business, she searches to find an excuse for just one more party.
