About the Author

George Hargrove, a 60-year old retired regional manager whose former employer was the U.S. Geological Survey, is a first-time author. For the past eight years, he has spent a major portion of his time as a substitute teacher in one of California?s most distinguished school districts. Crediting as his inspiration the teachers he has met and the children he has taught, George looks forward to a new professional career as an author. Shhhhhhhhhh!, an entertaining, though mysterious, children?s book appears to be an excellent inaugural production. As time permits, George?s upcoming projects include several more children?s books titled: The French Fry Scout Troop, Cousin Henry and the Watermelon Episode, and Emily Goes to the Circus. A sequel to Shhhhhhhhhh! is also being considered.
