About the Book
Gary Bennett was a highly talented fashion designer in Australia.As Director of his own company Adam Bennett he expanded his business over the years to become a well-known label in the fashion industry.
His success was rewarded in being able to pursue another great love-skiing!
During a trip to Sun Valley, Idaho, Gary was involved in a near-fatal car accident that left him with brain stem damage.
His dreams and pursuits were put on hold.
This book of verse travels through the many thoughts, emotions and feelings Gary felt on the long path to recovery.
He hopes others will gain some inspiration from his inner journey.
Gary lives in Sydney, Australia, with his devoted wife Julie and has two children, Michael and Amanda, who give him great joy and love.About the Author
Gary Bennett was involved in a car accident in Sun Valley, Idaho on June 4, 1992 and suffered Brain Stem Damage. At the time he and his wife Julie owned a condo in Sun Valley and spent many happy winters skiing and making new American friends.
He is now confined to a wheelchair and wrote a book of poetry called ?The Second Time Around? with the help of his Psychotherapist, Lesley Lewis. This book expresses his feelings over the ensuing years and his struggle to re-learn past skills.
He lives in Sydney, Australia with his devoted wife Julie and has two children Michael and Amanda who give him great joy and love.
