About the Book

A book like this doesn't come along very often. A teenage boy's book of poetry. Emotional poetry. Most filled with love and happiness; others passion and strength, a few with sadness and despair. All heartfelt, all true. So I Wrote It All Down is a diary of six years of the young author's life. While reading each poem, the reader will learn how teens and adults experience much the same emotions; stemming from life changes, true love, loss, family realizations, future hopes, dreams and goals. All building upon whom Alec as come to be. This poetry book is an example of one teenage boy who has learned to live one moment at a time, celebrate each moment and move toward his dreams and goals.

About the Author

Alec Parower was born in 1990 in Greenwich, Connecticut. He is currently a junior at the Professional Children?s School in New York City. Alec has been writing poetry since the 8th grade and has been published in various magazines and books. He is a member of the International Society of Poets, a multi-time winner of the Editors Choice Award and was nominated for Best Poems and Poets of 2007. Alec currently lives in Edgemont, NY, with his sister (Zoe), his mom and his dog. He enjoys reading, spending time with his friends and family, and plays tennis on a competitive level.
