About the Book

This is a work in three parts. The first being a series of poems titled The heart. These pieces are short blurbs of life experiences. They are based in "fact-tion", and range in topic from love to politics to ego's run amuck.
Section two is The Couch. These fictional short stories are based on characters ripped from the news of the day. They look at the people and situations behind the thirty second highlight footage. The final component is a theatrical piece entitled Black Coffee. The story follows the owner of a poetry café' and it's patrons as they struggle with human relationships and ghostly ones as well. Black Coffee And Other Stimulants is a testimonial to communication and the power of words.

About the Author

Acosewaa studied communication and theatre at the University of the District of Columbia. She is a Native Washingtonian who has a love for theatre and a degree in business. She is currently working on a MBA at Strayer University.
