About the Book

"I create for an audience of one, you see
for I'm going to be criticized no matter what I write
so I have chosen to please myself first, above all else
hence why good seats are still available."
- from the poem, Majority of One

Good Seats Still Available, the first published collection by poet Kelly Hay, contains poems ranging in subject matter from the spiritual, The Morality Experiment, to the political, Letter to an Unknown Soldier, to the very physical, Making Lust.

With apparent ease she plays musical chairs with her readers, encouraging us to stop and cheer for our gridiron gods in one breath, suggesting we offer heartfelt thanks to past lovers in the next.

So take a seat. Turn off the music. You'll want to stay put while enjoying a poetic tango with America's newest choreographer of verse.
