The children of the Bannister family appear to be typical young teenagers, but they seem always to be stumbling into mysterious adventures. Their annual summer vacation to Martha's Vineyard Island is no exception, as they become mixed up with some dangerous and exotic thieves.

About the Author

Jane Ratcliffe Stewart was born in Kewanee, IL. She married in 1957, and after raising three children she began a teaching career at Academy School in Glastonbury, CT. In the last years of her life she wrote young adult fiction, completing two mystery novels.
