For all the great love affairs of history there are many more that remain hidden from everyone except those who lived them. Such is the story of Ruth and Peter, two people with little in common and much to risk. Their fleeting affair would prove to be life altering for both of them.

During the 1950s when suspicion of Russia and hatred of communism preoccupied our federal government, people still dreamed of a kinder, gentler world. For a moment Ruth and Peter realized that dream.

About the Author

Carolyn Kolwicz lives in Tolland, Connecticut, where she and her husband Joseph raised their three children.

After years of work in research that involved technical writing, she turned to poetry, children?s stories and adult fiction. A new novel, Triptych, is near completion.
