About the Author

A native of Japan and a naturalized US citizen for 39 years, Mac Masakatsu Horino came to Washington DC as a college student in the mid-Sixties, inspired by JFK?s New Frontier Spirit. In search of his future professional and sociocultural identity, he established a career as a journalist in Washington DC for major Japanese newspapers and television networks for many years.

His works have appeared in the Washington Post, International Herald Tribune, and Japan Economic Journal among other publications. He has also delivered a series of seminars and lectures on multicultural education and communications skills. His clients were typically professional groups, major corporations and law firms. He is currently a freelance writer who has been living in suburban Washington, D.C.
