This is a saga of one family’s life on a plantation, and is based on a true story.

Slavery is part of American history. It is recorded in the history books. This story, then,is about the way slavery affected the author’s family. From the beginning, in Virginia, to its conclusion, in Madison County, Mississippi, it tells vividly of the trials and tribulations of life as slaves for this family.

There were good times, hard times, joys, and sorrows, much like life today.

About the Author

Taylor Worthy is a retired civil service employee and real estate salesperson. In Harvest Time, he realizes a thirty-year dream: recalling and recording the vivid stories told to him by his Grandpa Saul. Taylor Worthy lives in Long Beach, California. He is working on his second book.
