Caleb rescues Six Deer, and eventually joins Pine Basket, his sister, and their family in the struggle to survive the Trail of Tears. About the Author
Luke Wallin took an Iowa MFA as well as graduate degrees in Philosophy and Regional Planning. His books include the award-winning novels The Redneck Poacher’s Son, In the Shadow of the Wind, Ceremony of the Panther, and The Slavery Ghosts. Wallin has been a Visiting Fulbright Professor at University College Dublin. He is Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and a faculty member in the Master of Fine Arts in Writing Program at Spalding University.
