About the Book

Horse sleuth, Jesse Statham and her lovable, but suicidal dog Barney, tackle the hardest case Jesse has yet to encounter. Jesse moves like a steamroller around the rich and infamous when she goes into a cult to get the killers of Spanner, one of the horses she insured. Naturally, dead bodies began piling up as this hormonally-challenged detective breaks all the rules to capture Spanner's killer.

Along for the ride is Tommy, her live-in Chinese cook who leaves death threats in her fortune cookies. Tommy, determined to be an Elvis impersonator, is occupied with the arrival of his anti-social aunt.
