Are mermaids just a fantisy? A young boy finds he is an outcast because of unusuall features and discovers his help may come from the sea. His experience is often recanted by island elders in helping the next generation understand life.

About the Author

Jack Smith's facination with the Pacific Islands and its people began when during WW 2 he spent time on the islands he learned to love. He has returned many times to visit the people on island often overlooked by the tourist.
