About the Book
Sean Og Finigan, Born 1926 in poverty stricken Ireland. Bereft of education and money this teenager became an international smuggler defeating His Majesty’s British Customs. About the Author
Francis J. Gallagher was born in poverty on the rugged Northwest coast of Ireland. With only an eighth grade education, he left home at age seventeen and spent many years in the British Merchant Navy, traveling all over the world. Francis married a Canadian-born Lebanese lass in 1952 and gave up his life at sea for domestic bliss.
Gallagher has studied under Pickney Benedict, Inette Miller and with Maryat Lee and most recently with Karen Offitzer. He was a second place winner in the 1987 West Virginia Writer’s competition. He has published three other books, A Night on the North Atlantic, An Irishman Comes to the Greenbrier and Leaving Ireland.
