About the Book
In the weekly Mortality/Morbidity Conference, it is announced that the patient, Caroline Hartman, has died of a heart attack. The third year medical student, Jeremy Gold, who did the admitting history and physical exam questions this diagnosis. When the autopsy reveals that the patient has been poisoned, the medical student works with the police to find the identity of the murderer. They discover that the victim was a nurse who worked at the hospital. Four surgeons and the medical director had dealings with the victim when she worked at the hospital. A blackmail scheme is discovered, and the murderer is eventually found.
