About the Book

When Maggie, an Australian-German Shepherd, is given to Detective Jane Richards, her life changes as she finds herself involved in episodes of adventure, murder, intrigue... and romance. Jane is reluctant to leave her leisurely life of sailing the lakes in Las Vegas, Nevada, where her home and office is located. But, when a client, John “Buck” Rogers, a dog trainer and owner of Jiggs, another Australian-German Shepherd, arranges a film contract for Maggie, the action begins for the lady sleuth.

Danger develops when Buck’s trained dogs take them to Frazier Park in California where an immigration agent is murdered and a drug cartel is cleverly shipping drugs around the country.

About the Author

Bea Fogelman enjoyed living in the San Fernando Valley and the Frazier Park/Quail Lake area of California, the setting of this novel, for several years before moving with her husband, Leo, to Las Vegas where she retired as a Real Estate Broker to begin the joy of writing. She soon departed from writing entertainment books and ventured into the world of fiction. Her novels found their themes within the current events of the day. A Journey To Die For, her first novel, is about the hazards of transporting nuclear waste. Vengeful Specter about the psychic value in police investigations to capture criminals, soon followed three books of non-fiction. Her novels include Mystery, Murder and Romance. In The Detective Wore Dog Tags she blends these ingredients in a tale involving drugs with the exploits of trained Australian-German Shepherds. In the year 2000, at the young age of 75, Bea continues to write and, in her lectures, urges everyone she meets to write their stories, to leave a legacy to their family history.
