About the Author

The author is the daughter of Thomas Cassidy who was born in Ireland. His uncle was Ledwidge, the Poet Laureate of Ireland in the early 20th Century. The author’s father related stories of Ledwidge which are the basis of the book. Olson researched Ireland and in local achives. She is a retired English teacher.
