About the Book

Erc, a twice orphaned youth, sets out on his own in an attempt to discover his place in the world. His exploits take him from the boundaries of brutal and savage battle to the heights of love and devotion. Haunted by a past that will not die and determined to make for himself a viable future, Erc joins the tribe at Midbur. The people of Midbur, in desperate need of a powerful leader and protection from the invasions that plague their land, adopt the young warrior and he promises to lead them into the next era. His radical plans and vision cause some in the tribe to wince and others to praise his name. With more invasions imminent, Erc and his people prepare to face their enemies in battle. A leader by destiny and not by choice, Erc attempts to straddle the line that separates fact and fiction, commitment and duty, life and death and the Darkness and the Light.

About the Author

Robert M. Sawalski was originally born in Arlington Heights, Illinois in the early 1970’s. He came from a large, close-knit family whose ways and traditions greatly influence his writings. Robert now resides in Michigan with his wife, Theresa, where he continues to practice his one passion: writing.
