About the Book

It is a sad fact that the majority of the world's people still lives in poverty, with all the problems of hunger and disease that goes with it. What should Christians do about this? Various things have been tried, all with their own advantages and problems. Here is an overview of these approaches, and a suggestion for a synthesis based on Christian teachings.

About the Author

Originally from the UK, where he graduated as an engineer from Cambridge University, David went as a missionary to Southern Africa. There he has ministered in schools, hospitals and prisons, and since 1983 has taught theology at the University of Fort Hare, one of Africa's oldest universities. He is married with four grown-up children.
