About the Book

On every page of this Planner are two days of the year. At the top of each day, some space has been left aside for golf dates. At the bottom of the page, you will daily find a golf psychology tip, a Zen anecdote, or a famous woman’s or famous man’s quotation.

This Golf & Zen Planner not only offers generic tips, but also allows each golfer to pull the right “mental club” out of his or her own “mental bag” to tailor it to their individual features and to the many different playing situations.

The two authors have long been involved with Oriental philosophies and along the way discovered numerous interesting similarities between Western psychology and Oriental meditative introspection.

After all, is it just a coincidence that Tiger Woods, a cultural cross between the West and the East, is currently the world’s best golfer?

About the Author

Mirko and Ettore Allegri are father and son respectively.

Mirko, who was born in Italy in 1941, is a cardiologist who heads the cardiological unit of a hospital in Northwestern Italy. He has devoted most of his professional life to both the medical field and to his passion for political science.

Ettore, born in Switzerland in 1969, after attending an American high school, first in Switzerland then in Germany, received a law degree from the Catholic University in Milan. He speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and German. He currently lives in Manhattan and is the managing director of Giorgetti USA, a manufacturer of Italian contemporary furniture.

While an ocean divides them, a common love for classical studies, oriental philosophies and golf unites them, which makes this Golf & Zen Planner the fruit of an online cultural reunion.
