About the Author

Mark Lazarus Gatti has written poetry for over a decade. In 1996, he won the Joel Oppenheimer Memorial Award for Creative Writing. Gatti received his B.A. (1997) and M.A. (1998) in English at Buffalo State College, where he taught writing for two years. Mercy Hat is his debut collection of poetry.
