About the Author

George Putney grew up in Philadelphia and, after serving in World War II, became a businessman and entrepreneur. Having experienced and pioneered the technological advances during the last 50 years, he is in a unique position to explain the often puzzling and mysterious instruments of change that are shaping how we live. He is married with three children and lives north of Boston.
