About the Author

Darlene Ramos is a native of the West Coast and an enthusiast of the "country life," She and husband, Ray Ramos, decided early in their marriage that this infatuation would become their existence, and some years later discovered that the "simple" tenets of a country life are often the hardest things a body might try. Ramos is a columnist and reporter for the Dunn County News in Menomonie, Wisconsin. She is currently also the owner of a small gift shop and tea house, as well as occasional caretaker of a precious grandchild.
