About the Book

Kevin Thompson is an American pilot forced to do his job and liberate something called freedom from a crazy terrorist in the middle of the snowy Himalayas. Though he doesn't like to admit it to himself, where he wants to be is back home, in the arms of his love, warm in bed in sunny California. Scared of dying and his own responsibility as a leader, he faces a conflict of interest between his duty as a military aviator and his own yearning heart. But, somewhere along the way, Kevin gains new confidence in life, in love, and in his own and others' freedom. That thing he originally set out to save amid the chilled winds of that icy wasteland on the far side of the world.

About the Author

Daniel's love of military history leads him to base his books on aviation and the crucible of conflict. However, Daniel's softer side brings about the emotional stories of, and interactions between his characters. His heart compels him to write also of their friendships, and relationships, the things that really matter.
