About the Book
The Mask of Herod is enthralling fiction deftly blended into the violent real life events of the past 2000 years. It traces the bloody path of a cursed piece of sculpture created around the time of Christ’s birth and in defiance of one of God’s Ten Commandments.
Most of the book’s action takes place in the century just concluded and tells the interrelated stories of:
* A remarkable American woman forced by horrific circumstances to devote her life to raising a child orphaned by the persecution that followed the infamous Crystal Night in Nazi Germany.
* A handsome but ruthless Nazi officer whose survival instinct and lust for wealth make him even more cunning and self-serving than his boss, Reich Marshal Hermann Goering.
* A child of the Holocaust…victim of a brutal rape…whose extraordinary courage drives her to overcome huge obstacles and rebuild her life in the newly created Promised Land of Israel.
* An ex-Marine whose startling discovery helps him avenge the long ago murder of parents he had never known.
The Mask of Herod is a story of the ultimate triumph of love and courage over the forces of unspeakable evil but, as you will read, it was a victory won at an enormous price.
