About the Book

"Understanding The Rain" is a unique memoir of my personal experiences in the great outdoors. I have spent many hours in the natural beauty of Oregon and have met some of the most interesting people on earth. From these "wise souls" I have learned the lessons of life that I pass on in this book about a remarkable land called Oregon. I conclude the book with "The Rain Poems", a short collection of Oregon inspired poems. This book will change your understanding, not only of the rain, but also of life as it is lived in the Northwest.

About the Author

Allen L. Scarbrough lives in Tigard, Oregon with his wife Debra. Allen is also the author of two previously published books, "Redwood Road" and "God Bless America".
