Betty is one of the best professional killers around, but her work, and eventually her sense of reality, are thrown into chaos when she runs across Maxwell Barry, another assassin whose lifestyle is dominated by mental instability, an incessant drive to party, and in his mind at least, a frightening struggle against some hellish, malevolent spiritual entity. Betty, Max, and those who associate with them become caught in a vicious circle of love, revenge, murder, and other events which can not be logically rationalized, leaving the illogical as the only remaining explanation.

About the Author

Alex Farrell is an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin, where he is seeking a Liberal Arts Bachelor's Degree in History. His interests include guitar, rock music, fencing, innovative literature, dramatic and independent films, bartending, libertarianism, and getting a girlfriend.
