About the Author
Albert Huffstickler is a poet and artist who poetry has appeared internationally in small and literary publications since the early 1970s. The Texas State Senate passed a resolution honoring his work in 1989; and in 1997, he was honored at the International Poetry Festival in Austin, Texas, where he lives and writes. Huffstickler's Walking Wounded, which chronicles his stay in a convalescence home following surgery, won the Austin Book Award in 1989 and was published by Backyard Press. Working on My Death Chant was published by Backyard Press in 1991, and Sulphur River Literary Review Press published The Wander Years in 1998.
