About the Book

At First Light revolves around the author's great love of the natural world. Captured in a philosophical and sometimes Zen-like style, much of his poetry compares the cycle of nature to the cycle of human life. About the Author

William Stephenson grew up in Lancaster, South Carolina. He enjoys the outdoors, in particular, hiking and sailing. His travels have taken him to Europe, Canada, Japan and the American West. He currently lives in Greer, South Carolina, with his wife Margaret, daughter Kathryn Grace, and dog Blackie.
