This book tells the story of the Portland, a famed English aristocratic family, already renowned in the seventeenth century, and how it came to be allied with a Texas family, prominent in the struggle for Texan independence and also in banking in Greenville and other Texas cities.

About the Author

This is the story of my family, English and American, over many generations. It treats a history that begins centuries ago in the United Kingdom and ends in the present day. I live in England and the United States.
