Evolution of a Nobody

About the Book
Stephen Hawking wrote a book called a Brief History of Time, and in a sense, this is what this book is all about, a brief history of a life—one man’s journey, his vision, his successes, his disappointments, his dislikes, and his failures. More than that though, it also is an attempt to show that man is a heuristic, biological machine that absorbs experiences and then modifies his actions and decisions to adapt to changing environments. So this is not the story of a Churchill or an Eisenhower, nor is it the story of a Chris Barnard, first heart transplant surgeon, or a Nobel laureate such as John Nash, no television celebrity or actor or a Warren Buffet, no it is the memoir of an ordinary man. Hell, I never even made it to class captain at school. Born on the wrong side of the track, I managed through fate, perseverance and a passion for success to step over to the other side. In doing so, my life took many twists and turns both vocationally, socially and geographically. From steward on a train to a top gun in the Air Force, from an academic presenting papers at international conferences on many continents to running a very successful business consultancy firm. Like the Chinese say, may you live in interesting times, well I have!
About the Author
This is my story, the story of a nobody. Not the story of a well-known politician, general, heart transplant surgeon, author, celebrity, millionaire, hell, I never even made it to class captain at school.
Born on the wrong side of the track I managed through fate and perseverance to step over to the other side. In doing so, my life took many twists and turns both vocationally and geographically. From steward on a train, to presenting papers at international conferences on six continents; it has been a long and interesting journey.
