About the Book

Many people feel "sidelined" from our busy and preoccupied culture at some time in their lives, whether by unemployment, injury, illness, disability or retirement. Poems such as Suffering Hope, Sidelines and Regrets describe a journey of struggle for perspective and meaning. About the Author

The author has had Multiple Sclerosis from the age of twenty-two. After earning two graduate degrees and at the peak of a successful career working with elderly and disability populations, she had to medically retire. Widowed in 2004, she lives in Seattle, Washington with her three beloved yorkshire terriers.
