About the Author

Sylvia Manning was born in New Braunfels, Texas, home of the last vertical textile mill in the United States. (Her mother worked for that textile mill.) Now in nearby Seguin, after many years on the border, Sylvia helps Tony Weisman restore the Sonka House, a historical building.
