About the Book

They said "that can't be a poem
For it has neither rhyme nor rhythm"
Well if that's what they want me to show 'em
Then that's exactly what I'll give 'em

And Stewart McKenzie does give in this collection of poems about landscapes, genes, time, and the nature of poetry. When these poems were posted on poemhunter.com a fellow poet commented "I have begun reading Stewart's poems this morning and find a series of gems no poet lover should miss. His writing is full of lovely images and thought-provoking ideas".

About the Author

Stewart McKenzie was born in Chalfont St. Peter in Buckinghamshire County, England, April 23 1943. He lived his first five years in the Old House, Moat Farm, Stoke Mandeville, which was just as rural as it sounds, moved to central London, was educated at Westminster, studied and practiced architecture in London, moved to the USA to study environmental planning and stayed for a career in environmental planning and management. The poems in these collections were written between 1959 and 2007.
