About the Author

Sonya Muhammad, M.A. MFCC, counselor, writer, teacher, and speaker worked as a counselor in a shelter for battered women. Group/individual counseling sessions shed tremendous light on the tragedy of violence, the helplessness experienced by victims, and the need to create a new consciousness for letting go and moving on.
