About the Book
The author, now 92 years young, began writing two and four lines at age eleven. Raised in rural central Illinois and educated in a one-room schoolhouse, she was asked by the teacher to make Valentines for the class. Capturing life's experiences in poetry became her hobby and endures to this day. The content covers a myriad of subjects, love, family, faith in God, prayer, travel, history, nature and much more.
You will read of President John F. Kennedy and of John-John and their tragic demise. You'll find glimpses of God and country, life and death, happiness and sorrow, all presented easy to read and digest.
The complexities of every day living are examined in a way to bring hope and encouragement to those in need. I believe every reader will find parallels to their own circumstances.
About the Author
I was born July 20, 1914 and have been abundantly blessed throughout my life. Writing poetry and prose is a hobby and pastime that continues to give me pleasure. I am told, ?You have God given talent?, a wonderful compliment. Married to my late husband Joe in 1932, a kind, loving man; we had a son and a daughter. I retired from the family owned business and have resided in Ormond Beach, Florida since 1995. I continue to write and enjoy the fullness of life in these golden years.
