About the Book
This book is controversial in that it is an unbiased (by belief) critique. No one should take any book at face value without examining the meaning of the words. The problem with the Bible is that it is accepted almost entirely by people who have no idea what it really says.
About the Author
I have had an interesting life. My father died before I was eight years old. That is a shock to anyone. Then I saw a lot of hypocrites as I attended church - Catholic and Protestant. So, during my 21 years in the US Army, 17 years in the medical field, I spent a lot of time learning about the differences in religions and found that they are all basically the same. I also determined that more people are really Agnostic than they think.
In my personal life, I have lived a good life and I was faithful and have tried to be honest in every detail. Unfortunately, I had a spouse that was not similar. And, she was very religious. I found it very ironic that the religious people I knew were cheats and liars and the Agnostics and Atheists were faithful. So, I wanted to write my feelings about the primary religious text for these people.
Currently, I live in North Carolina and have taught school since January 1996. My belief has allowed me to teach diversity. It has also allowed me an opportunity to try to share an open-minded attitude that is consistent with being spiritual while respecting all religions from Agnostics to Catholics to Jews to Muslims to Protestants to Wiccans and all others.
