About the Book
This is a book of incidents in the author's life, as explained in the foreword...real life events that impressed him, or were witnessed with him being involved...or...just studied. It may compare to like-events in other's lives: but, more, often, probably, will present his defining, his treatment, and disposal (where necessary) of them. It is written to show humility in some cases, humor in others and hopefully, in enjoyable presentation to everyone.
About the Author
Harmon Yates is an ex-newspaper pressman by trade. At his first attending a writing class he was asked by the instructor why he wanted to study writing. In jest, he first answered, "I've been printing other writer's mistakes so long, I wanted to take a crack at making a few of my own." He seriously did answer, though, he had something to say... something burned in him... it was challenging. All those driving urges were contained within his spirit. He has completed a correspondence course with LongRidge Writers in Connecticut, under the tutelage of Peter Gardener. He has attended other classes, including a "Write Your Life Story" class, from whence the incidents here. They have been honed, from homespun, for publishing.
His writing has been accepted in newspapers and magazines. This is his first effort at writing a book.
