About the Book
Dispoetry will change the way that poetry books are looked at. For so many years, poetry books have been practically given out for free because of untalented, low-class, jealous poets and performers. It's time for a change. The change will start but not just end with me. I am doing this for those poets who are very talented, but have been overlooked when writing their books because of the disrespect that has been shown to poets over the years. It's time for "The Great One" to put a stop to it. Real writers and poets can't make it out here without the support of the real people. We love you all.
About the Author
GPA was born Lorenzo Christopher McClain on February 14, 1983 on the Southside of Chicago.
At a young age Lorenzo and his mom moved to East Rogers Park located on the North side of Chicago. Lorenzo first started writing poetry in the 5th grade at the age of 11. His biggest inspiration was Edgar Allen Poe because he also saw the world as dark and depressing. Lorenzo also started reading love poems and learned how write from a positive perspective. Throughout certain parts of his life Lorenzo and his mom have struggled or went homeless while staying in shelters. ?All that I survived has definitely made me a stronger person but has also affected my emotions.? ?I believe that a real poet must suffer in someway to be great and not just average, that is what separates one from the other.? Lorenzo?s style of poetry called ?Dispoetry? is the modern, simpler form of writing poetry for people who know very little or just don?t care about poetry. It is mixture of rhyming, short stories, fiction, nonfiction, slam poetry, and a vivid imagination. ?I truly hope that you enjoy my book and I wish all the real poets out there who work hard nothing but the best.?
