About the Book

Before the Depression, Janet Larson had a nice yard to play in with her friends. Now she and her family must live in a rented apartment, and their cranky landlady has strict rules the Larson children must follow. Janet and her new friends, however, decide to get even and give old lady Cooper a scare.

About the Author

Dorothy Harrison has loved books and reading ever since she was a child. Later, she shared her love of books with her children and with the kindergartners she taught. Besides three books, she has also authored a re-told Irish folk tale and several articles for adults. Prior to her retirement she was a writer/editor at the National Institutes of Health.
