About the Book

I have tried to put to paper words from my mind and my heart of a sixty plus day trip from San Antonio, Texas to Costa Rica with two special friends. I had been acquainted with these guys for some twenty years or so.

I learned that we really don't know or understand each other until one is locked up with the other and are confronted with each other's idiosyncrasies. I've sure got mine and I discovered those of my friends. You may share the humor of three men sixty plus years of age looking for adventure, challenges and searching to find themselves.

The thoughts of my mind wander around and are put to paper. They come from a heart that has been trampled on and being released to a new beginning. There are adult descriptions and language. You may find them interesting or you may not.

About Me/H. Ron Stephens

Born in a slab board shotgun house in a small East Texas town on the 28th day of May 1934.

Educated at the University of Oklahoma

Two sons, one daughter, a grandson & Alex

I?ve done some sculpting, I?ve tried my hand at painting and I?ve tried to put to paper things in my mind and from my heart; with all this I?ve loved, I?ve lost a time or two and I have cried; but I also have smiled, found ribbons of rainbows, laughter like thunder and memories of goodness and of butterflies.

I retired a few years ago, I, for a while traveled, restored a couple of classic cars, enjoyed the theater, romantic dining and basically chased widowed women while running with the wind, I chased after the sun and looked for a friend to share my days with.

I am now married to a beautiful lady from Mexico and share my home with her and my stepson. Life is probably closer to normal now, rather than a crazy life of neon I chased after for a while. May God forgive me and the ladies not regret or forget.
