About the Author

Emily Nelson is a teacher by trade but the call of writing and acting has long been a part of her repertoire. She has the following degrees: B.S. M.Ed and Ed.D. This is her second book; BELLE was her first novel. There are several more novels ready to take off right after Ms. Emmaline?s Little Book of Wit and Wisdom.

She portrays historical characters like: Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Mary Fields, Phyllis Wheatley and Bessie Coleman. She is married to her college sweetheart Roy. They have a son Greg and a very precocious grandson Jalen.
