About the Author

The Author comes by his interests in technology and aesthetics honestly, having majored in English (well, OK, and Applied Math) at M.I.T. Dropping out of grad school in English, he dropped into programming and onto the Research Staff at M.I.T. Getting Multics onto the ARPANET led to becoming an Old Network Boy, and that, nearly naturally, led to The Book....
