About the Author

Yioset De La Cruz is the Mayor of the City of Hialeah Gardens. He was elected Mayor in 2000?at age 27, becoming one of the youngest Mayors in the country. In 2004, Yioset graduated from the University of Miami School of Law. He currently resides in Hialeah Gardens with his wife, Jenny, and son, Joseph.
