About the Book
A Man Called Ty is history, heroism, and adventure.
The Civil War has devastated the South. Confederate money is worthless so Union Carpetbaggers are taking over the southerners' land. Young Tyree Terel goes in search of his father, who has not returned from the war. When Ty returns, he finds that carpetbaggers have stolen his home and killed his mother and sister. Ty is no gunfighter, but he is a brave young man who is fast with a gun when necessary. A showdown occurs. Men die. Ty is labeled an outlaw and flees into the wild, untamed West. He doesn't know it yet, but a Union major named Pothman is charged with bringing Ty in and is determined to see him hang.
Ty's journey leads him to Bitter Creek, where he meets two women who are about to lose their ranch to a greedy cattle rustler named Marcum and his dangerous gunslingers. Facing overwhelming odds, Ty vows to help the women.
Can Ty defeat the powerful Marcum and the vengeful Union major and restore justice to Bitter Creek?
