About the Book

Writing My Face is a whimsical collection of poetry that draws attention to the moments, thoughts, and words that are not easily recognized and rarely ever spoken. It takes a deeper look at what's on the inside and plunges beyond what is visible and obvious.

The poems are written around the personal experiences of the author fused with her own unique style for capturing messages, "written on a face". Stroud believes that a look, gesture, or reaction can tell a story with greater depth and emphasis than verbal communication. Her passion and zeal for life is unmistakable as she captures some of the most intense moments in life through her lyrical words.

Stroud shares her vulnerability with such introspective reflections that through every word, she demonstrates that the defining moments in life, whether good, bad, or indifferent, create emotions and feelings that encompass the wonderful, individual, and unique human spirit of who we are.

By interweaving positive messages throughout her poems, Stroud "writes what she means and means what she's lived". She motivates, encourages, and lifts up anyone who is ready to reveal his or her true self to the world.

About the Author

Trina Danette Stroud is a native of Conyers, Georgia, and the author of the collection of poetry, And So She Writes. She received her undergraduate degree from Grambling State University, obtained her master?s degree from Amberton University, and is the mother of three sons.
