About the Book
Rock musician Phil O'Mae, or Philo Mae as he's better known, has run to Philadelphia from his home on the Jersey shore to escape the haunting memories of the suicide of his bandmate John Kind.
Looking to start over, Philo falls for a beautiful woman who wastes no time breaking his heart. Now in a compounded state of depression, he realizes that there's no way to elude his past and decides to return to Cape May. Philo hopes that if he's able to retrace the steps that led to John's senseless death he might find a way to free himself from the responsibility he feels. Upon his arrival, Philo discovers that both John's former girlfriend and younger brother are suffering the loss far worse than he is. On the anniversary of the suicide, he returns to the place of the tragedy and relives the final hours of that day. When Philo receives a hysterical phone call one night, it finally forces him to make a difficult decision about his life: succumb to the dark thoughts that have haunted him since John's death, or step outside himself and save a friend from the same destructive downfall.About the Author
