About the Book

P. A. Doss whips up an ingenious tale in her debut Novella, The Magic Crystal. Keara Kelly, the eleven-years-old heroine has a fear of growing up, a fear of airports and a bad habit of telling lies. When her best friend, Victoria Starr leaves for Europe for the summer, Keara attends an estate sale and acquires a magical, light-blue crystal pendant, which is actually an alien in hibernation named Lah.

Meanwhile at sunrise on the summer solstice, a similar crystal is discovered growing just beyond the heel stone at Stonehenge and twelve people disappear including Vicky. A media circus enfolds around the world as Lah manipulates Keara into traveling to Stonehenge to help Vicky return. He tells her that he only has her best interests at heart but does he? What is his true agenda and what does the growing crystal mean?

The Magic Crystal is truly an original story that addresses two of the main problems in our world, namely racism and the energy crisis. Teaching a valuable lesson about the importance of honesty and facing ones fears, The Magic Crystal is an important read for the new millennium that we find ourselves in.

About the Author

P. A. Doss has had a lifelong interest in Fantasy and Science Fiction and felt compelled to write her debut Novella, The Magic Crystal.

She has an Associate Degree in Art and General Education, attended The University of Bridgeport and has lived in Stratford, Connecticut with her husband since 1980.
