Hollow eyes and missing souls

Beat me half to death

Through violent visions with broken bones

And pain I never meant

I grew up bored with myself

Till I looked within

I found darkness alive

Fear and pain came

I offer up my emptiness

Observe me now and see

Years of stone and narrow paths

Melt away in pain

About the Author

Matthew Wright is just beginning his literary journey, this is second published book of poetry. Matthew once again takes his reader on a lyrical journey, as seen through the eyes of a young man who has endured the pain, pleasure and struggles of growing up alone. Matthew was born and resides in a Shoreline, WA. a suburb of Seattle.
